Learn About Our Team Of Attorneys and Support Staff

Aaron L. Love, JD.

Aaron was admitted to the Missouri Bar Association in 1981. After working as an attorney in the banking industry for 16 years, Aaron established a private law practice in Lee’s Summit, Missouri in the year 2000 .

As part of his banking experience, Aaron managed the trust department for a local bank. This is when Aaron began to see the importance of estate planning.  He also saw the need to educate families about how their estate plan would actually work when they most needed it. His very first estate planning client confirmed the value of the firm’s approach when, after completing her plan she declared, “I have been worrying about this a long time! For the first time, I have peace of mind.” This repeated type of client experience helped Aaron realize that peace of mind is one of the primary reasons families pursue estate planning. They want assurance that their home, valuables, and money will easily pass to whom they want it to upon their deaths.

In 2003, Aaron‘s mother died within a month after experiencing a debilitating stroke. She had been the primary caregiver for his father, who had dementia. Aaron’s father became a resident of an assisted living facility in Nevada, Missouri. During this time of caring for and providing support for his dad, Aaron’s passion for caring for the elderly grew exponentially.  It was during this time that one of the firm’s taglines was developed: “Legacy Planning for All Seasons of Life.” It became apparent to Aaron that his estate planning practice must be flexible enough to adapt to the unique concerns of his clients in each season of their lives. At one end of the spectrum, younger families are focusing on the daunting task of choosing guardians for the minor children and worrying about how their children’s college education will be funded, should something happen to them. The other end of the spectrum finds that, while senior clients are still concerned about planning for who gets their assets upon death, they are often more concerned about losing capacity or losing all of their assets to long-term care expenses. So, Aaron expanded his personal legal training to include elder law. As a result of that training, he has presented hundreds of educational seminars on a variety of issues that are of special interest and concern to seniors and their loved ones. The firm has expanded its legal services to include an array of elder law services, including helping spouses legally protect assets when the other spouse has to be admitted into a long-term care community.

Aaron relies on his memberships in Elder Counsel, Wealth Counsel, and the Missouri Bar to stay abreast of changes in the law in his areas of practice.

Aaron enjoys spending time with his wife of forty years, Brenda, and their four adult kids. One of his family‘s favorite vacation spots is the Colorado Rockies.

Polly Bartle Blomquist, JD.

In 2001 after being admitted to the Missouri and Kansas Bar, Polly Bartle Blomquist began her career at the Family Court in Jackson County, Missouri.  While there, she tried hundreds of cases, gaining valuable trial experience.  After having children, the gravity of the responsibilities of parenting caused Polly to realize the importance of Estate Planning for young families.  As she began discussing Estate Planning with her friends and family, it became apparent how few people possessed accurate information on the subject.  Because of this, Polly decided to move into the private sector to begin providing Estate Planning for individuals and families with the goal of educating them about the value of proper advanced planning. Today Polly works to help families achieve their objectives, whether that be ease of transfer of assets or ensuring assets are preserved, protected, and managed effectively for beneficiaries for years to come.

Polly  has a special heart for the senior community, instilled by her mother when she was a child, by taking Polly to nursing homes to sing for residents. In high  school Polly worked at a senior living community, where her care for seniors grew.  Today Polly serves seniors in the areas of estate planning,  asset protection  planning,  and probate with the kindness, patience, and respect the senior community deserves.

With the combination of Estate Planning and trial experience, Polly has a unique approach to meet the needs of clients of all ages.

When she is not serving clients, you will find her volunteering at her church, spending quality time with her husband, son, and daughter, and traveling to ski, hike, or pursue any outdoor adventure.

Polly educates other lawyers and professionals by teaching Continuing Education classes, and is a member of Missouri Bar Association, Kansas Bar Association, Cass County Bar Association, Johnson County Bar Association, Wealth Counsel,  Elder Counsel, and the Association of Women Lawyers.
