Brenda serves the practice in various ways behind the scenes. She keeps our legacy planning team well stocked in paper, pens, and paperclips and enjoys furnishing refreshments for our monthly Table for Eight events. She also uses her writing skills to contribute to the occasional newsletter publication or blog article. After eighteen years as a speech pathologist, Brenda came home to raise the four Love kids. She is most fulfilled being the support and back-up crew for Aaron and their busy family. Brenda is also busy serving at Summit Christian Academy, operates a small catering company, “It’s the Bee’s Knees Bakery”, and enjoys adding the embellishments in the law office. Brenda’s passions include helping others, cooking, entertaining, co-teaching fourth and fifth grade Sunday school with Aaron, and participating with him in a couples’ Bible study at their church.
Client Services Manager
If you have called our office, chances are, you have heard the cheery voice of Cindy Stokes, our Client Services Manager. Cindy is a Lee’s Summit girl! Graduating from Lee’s Summit High School in 1981, she then attended Longview Community College, receiving an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration in 1983. After retiring from her position as Senior Vice President of the Bank of Lee’s Summit after 24 years of service, Cindy joined the law practice in 2007. She currently serves as Chairman of the membership committee for the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce. She has served on the Board of Directors for a local pregnancy resource center and Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street Inc. Married to Jeff, her high school sweetheart, Cindy lives on 80 acres, helping him raise horses, and Coriente cattle. Cindy and Jeff are blessed with three lovely daughters, and recently added a son-in-law to the family. Along with her many passions and responsibilities, Cindy is active in her church’s Youth Program and adult Bible study, and she and Jeff own an online development business.
Lisa joined our team in December of 2010, bringing with her over 18 years of experience in member service in the banking industry. Lisa’s responsibilities include preparing Veteran Benefits and Medicaid applications. Her strong attention to detail coupled with customer service experience is a great asset to the practice. Lisa is passionate about her family; she enjoys country music, live concerts, yoga and theater. She and her family attend Lee’s Summit United Methodist Church. In her spare time, you will find Lisa volunteering and attending her children’s school and extracurricular activities. Lisa graduated from UCM with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations.
April started working for the law office in January, 2012, to assist in completing several accounting projects. As the need grew, she was brought on full-time in June, 2012. She handles the daily bookkeeping tasks, and has now taken on paralegal responsibilities as well. April graduated from Southwest Baptist University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Economics. She met her husband, Andrew, while serving at YouthFront Camp in the summer of 2006. She and Andrew are very invested in the ministry of LifeConnection Church, where they lead small groups and serve in children’s and guest service ministries. April enjoys playing tennis, cooking, baseball, music, and going on walks with her husband and their dog, Molly.
Legal & Marketing Assistant
When you come into our office, or call on the phone Susan will be the one to greet you. Susan is our legal & marketing assistant. Prior to serving in the practice, she worked as a Kitchen Supervisor at a Christian School in Blue Springs. Before that she was an office manager at a chiropractic office in Independence. Her favorite “job”, however, has been that of being mom to her two kids. Her boy/girl twins are currently in college in Oklahoma.
Susan graduated from Calvary Bible College in Kansas City with a Bachelor’s Degree in biblical studies. In her time off she enjoys hiking, biking, and other outdoor adventures with her husband, Chuck, and their kids. She also is very active at her church Cross Way Bible Church.
Operations & Marketing Director
Greg serves the practice by managing all non-client related issues. His role as Operations Director includes: overseeing high-level accounting, IT, supply orders, special projects, business development, and any other day-to-day non-client operations issue.
His role as Marketing Director includes: networking, developing vision & strategy, managing social media, coordinating speaking opportunities & events, and doing high-level presentations throughout the community.
He has a Bachelor’s Degree in music, experience in vocational ministry as a worship pastor, and experience in retail. He enjoys playing guitar & singing, running, spending time with friends, and serving his church.
